Our Story

A History of Dedication

The Paediatric Association of Tanzania was established to unite paediatric professionals across the country in their commitment to improving child health outcomes. From humble beginnings, PAT has grown into a respected institution that shapes paediatric care policy and practice nationwide.

Over the years, PAT has become the leading voice for paediatric care in Tanzania, advocating for policies that benefit children, providing continuing medical education to healthcare workers, and fostering research that addresses local health challenges.

Today, PAT represents hundreds of members from various disciplines of paediatric medicine, including general paediatrics, neonatology, paediatric surgery, and other subspecialties, all working together for the health of Tanzania's children.
